Brown County Sheriff’s Report

A stolen welder and graffiti are some of the calls for service responded to Tuesday by the Brown County Sheriff’s Department.  The full report is below.

  • On Tuesday, August 31, at approximately 8:44 a.m. Deputy Scotty Burke was dispatched to the area of CR 270 in Zephyr. This was in reference to a black bull walking down the road.
  • On Tuesday, August 31 at about 12:40 p.m. Deputy Byron Langley, spoke with a complainant) who stated a suspect had used her mother’s debit card without her consent.
  • On Tuesday, August 31 at around 1:14 p.m. Deputy Carlyle Gover arrived at the Brazos Electric Company power station on FM 2273. This was in reference to graffiti being painted on the facility’s signs facing the roadway. After further investigation, A report was made.
  • On Tuesday, August 31, Deputy Chris Angel responded to Ardee Dr. This was in reference to a theft. Unknown subjects entered the property and stole a Miller Welding Machine.
