County Commissioners to Meet Monday Morning

Brown County Commissioners have scheduled a meeting Monday, August 30, at 9:00 am in the county courthouse.  The agenda is below.

1. Declare a Quorum and Call Meeting to Order
2. Prayer-
3. Recognition of Special Guests and Presentations.
4. Citizen Comments (All speakers will be required to adhere to the rules of procedure, conduct and decorum adopted by the Court on August 12, 2019. Any disruptive, abusive, obscene, or disrespectful behavior will be terminated immediately.)
5. Consideration and approval of the agenda minutes and budget workshop from the August 23rd and August 27th, 2021 meeting(s).
6. Consideration and approval of any Treasurer’s/ Auditor’s Report.
7. Consideration and approval of payment of any bills needed.
8. Consideration and approval of all appropriate action regarding the following:

A. Joel Kelton, Commissioner Pct. 2 – Consideration and possible approval of action regarding burn ban;
B. Lisa Dick, Administrator- Brownwood/Brown County Health Department- Update on COVID 19 response and County health initiatives. (Spon Pct.2)
C. Wayne Shaw, Commissioner Pct. 3 -Consideration and possible approval of action regarding application to install a private line on CR 258 by Central Texas TeleCommunications (CTTC)
D. Paul Lilly, County Judge- Consideration and possible approval of action regarding appointing David Alan Smith, M.D., CMD to the Board of Trustees of Center for Life Resources for a two-year term.
E. Bob Contreras, Grants & Governmental Affairs Coordinator- Update on American Rescue Plan Act. (Spon CJ)
F. Micheal Murry, District Attorney- Consideration and possible approval of declaring Grand Jury room furniture surplus items to be sold on GovDeals.com
G. Wayne Shaw-Commissioner, Pct. 3- Open bids for concrete work on CR 368.
H. Wayne Shaw-Commissioner, Pct. 3- Consideration and possible action to accept bid(s) for concrete work on CR 368.
I. Gary Worley-Commissioner, Pct. 1- Consideration and possible action to adopt policy/policies regarding medical quarantine for Brown County employees.
