County Commissioners to Meet Monday – Agenda Posted

Brown County Commissioners will meet Monday, August 23, at 9:00 am in the Brown County Courthouse. The agenda is below.

1. Declare a Quorum and Call Meeting to Order
2. Prayer- Rick Phelps
3. Recognition of Special Guests and Presentations.

4. Citizen Comments (All speakers will be required to adhere to the rules of procedure, conduct and decorum adopted by the Court on August 12, 2019. Any disruptive, abusive, obscene, or disrespectful behavior will be terminated immediately.)

5. Consideration and approval of the agenda minutes and budget workshop from the August 13th and August 16, 2021 meeting(s).
6. Consideration and approval of any Treasurer’s/ Auditor’s Report.
7. Consideration and approval of payment of any bills needed.

8. Consideration and approval of all appropriate action regarding the following:

A. Joel Kelton, Commissioner Pct. 2 – Consideration and possible approval of action regarding burn ban;
B. Lisa Dick, Administrator- Brownwood/Brown County Health Department- Update on COVID 19 response and County health initiatives. (Spon Pct.2)
C. Lisa Dick, Administrator- Brownwood/Brown County Health Department- Consideration and possible approval of action regarding funding the Health Departments COVID 19 vaccination efforts for the sum of $15,000. (Spon CJ)
D. Michael Murry, District Attorney- Consideration and possible approval of action regarding recommendation of committee for the replacement of County software. (Sponsor Commissioner Worley and Commissioner Kelton)
E. Vance Hill, Sherriff- Consideration and possible approval of action regarding employee changes.
F. Christine Pentecost, Tax Assessor Collector- Information report education credits in compliance with Section 6.231 of the Texas Property Tax Code.
G. Wayne Shaw, Commissioner Pct. 3 -Consideration and possible approval of action regarding installing a private line app on CR 348 by Central Texas TeleCommunications (CTTC)
H. Larry Traweek, Commissioners Pct. 4- Consideration and possible approval of action regarding installing a private line app on CR 129 by Brookesmith SUD.
