Effective immediately, due to COVID issues, on-site inmate visitations at the Brown County Jail have been suspended.

According to a news release from Sheriff Vance Hill:

With the approval of the local health authority, and the Texas Jail Commission, on-site inmate visitations are suspended in response to several staff and inmates being infected with the COVID-19 virus.

Attorneys and other agencies may continue visitations using in place precautions. Video visitation is still in place and being utilized for inmates.
