Seven Sentenced in District Court

According to District Attorney, Micheal Murray, the following felony cases were recently heard in Brown/Mills County District Court, Judge Mike Smith, presiding.

Leonard Augustine Morin, Jr, on probation for the felony offense of Robbery was revoked and sentenced to Fifteen ( 15) years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

Alexander Plant, on probation for the felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver was revoked and sentenced to Six (6) years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

Jesse Ray Stewart, on probation for the felony offense of Tampering with or Fabricating Physical Evidence was adjudicated and sentenced to Three (3) years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

Alexander Orgeron, pled guilty to three separate state jail felony offenses of Criminal Mischief; one state jail felony offense of Unauthorized Use of Vehicle; one state jail felony offense of Forgery and one state jail felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance and was sentenced to Twenty-four (24) months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division in each case. Further, Orgeron, on probation for the state jail felony offense of Theft-Enhanced was adjudicated and sentenced to Twenty­four (24) months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.

Jennifer Cooley, on probation for the state jail felony offense of Theft of Metals was revoked and sentenced to Twelve (12) months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.

Jeffrey Daniel Schott, on probation for the state jail felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance was adjudicated and sentenced to Ten (10) months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.

Regina Holmes, on probation for the state jail felony offense of Fraudulent Use or Possession of ID Information was adjudicated and sentenced to Six (6) months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.
