
MILLS COUNTY – The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) Brownwood District will continue the annual maintenance sealcoat project in Mills County on Friday morning, August 6, 2021. The project will continue throughout the district over the next several weeks.
TxDOT’s contractor, Brannon Paving Ltd., will begin working on FM 574 in Mills County from the intersection of FM 45 to US 183. A portion of this work will be inside the city of Goldthwaite near the school. This work is anticipated to be completed by the end of the day Monday, August 9.
Next week work will continue the following roadways in Mills County:
FM 3484: From FM 573 to FM 1029
FM 218: From SH 16 to the Hamilton County Line
Schedule of work is subject to change, weather permitting and other unforeseen delays.
Motorists should expect various lane closures and plan for possible delays in travel. A pilot car will guide traffic through these work zones. Motorists are asked to use caution, avoid distractions and slow their speed.
