Dennis Dale “Denny” Gordon, age 75, of Brownwood, passed away Sunday, June 20, 2021.

A memorial service for Denny will be held on Friday, June 25, at 2:00 PM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Brownwood. Arrangements are under the direction of Heartland Funeral Home in Early.

Denny was born in Greensburg Indiana on May 7, 1946, to Robert and Rosemary (Aldridge) Gordon. He married Margaret Welch on January 5, 1999 in Brownwood. Denny loved spending time with family and friends. You could find him many mornings at the Red Wagon visiting. He was a proud Vietnam war Navy Veteran. Denny was also a faithful servant to God, and he enjoyed the fellowship of his Latter-Day Saints family. He was a handy man, husband, father, grandfather, and friend who was filled with unbridled humor, stubbornness, loyalty and love.

Denny is survived by his wife, Margaret Welch Seward of Brownwood; sons, Dennis Dale Gordon Jr. of Glen Rose, and Robert Gordon of Proctor; daughter, Christy Jenkins of Stephenville; step daughters, Jamie Seward, Kat Moore, and Alice Seward of San Antonio; sisters, Barbara Thompson, Kathy Duncan, and Sherry Preston, all of Florida; and 3 brothers of Indiana. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and host of other family members and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Rosemary Gordon.
