Jerry Wright, age 47, of Coleman, passed away at his residence on Sunday, June 20, 2021.
Memorial service will be held 3:30 p.m. Saturday, June 26, in Stevens Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jeff Dean, pastor of North Coleman Baptist Church, officiating. Following the service, the family will visit with those in attendance.
He was born on August 21, 1973, the son of Jeannie Lee Driskill Wright Smith and Donald Dean Wright. He grew up and attended school most of his life in Coleman. He graduated from Winters High School in 1993. Jerry became an Emergency Medical Technician and worked for EMS in Brownwood before moving to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, where he lived and worked as an EMT for about a year and a half. He returned to live in Coleman in 2003. Jerry loved to work on computers, tearing them down, and rebuilding them with parts he found at garage sales and other places. He enjoyed cooking and especially cooking barbecue on an outdoor grill.
Survivors include his grandmother, Patsy Driskill of Coleman; one sister, Karri Mitchell and husband Raymond of Coleman; three children, Jennifer Deanne Wright and husband Austin of Azle, Bryan Lee Wright of Coleman and Clarissa Renee Wright of Ft. Worth; granddaughter, Piper Lily Wright; nephews, Scott Curry, Anthony Curry, Taydon Benson, Jason Curry and Sean Amos; six great-nieces and a great nephew.
