In a game broadcast on KOXE, the Early Longhorns defeated the Ballinger Bearcats 14-3 in Game One of the area round of the playoffs Thursday evening at Abilene Christian University.  The Longhorns scored 6 runs in the second inning and 5 in the third inning to help seal the deal.

You can listen to Game 2 of the best of three series at 1:00 pm today (Friday) on KOXE.  Game 3, if needed, is scheduled for Saturday at 5 at ACU.

The series winner will face either District 6 champion Jim Ned (27-0-1) or District 7 runner-up Bowie (21-13) in the third round.
