Rita Gay Clark, 67, of Melvin, Texas, passed away Tuesday, May 4, 2021, in Brady.

Funeral service will be Monday, May 10, at 11:00 am at Leatherwood Memorial Chapels in Brady.

A Graveside Service will be Monday, May 10, at the Oakwood Cemetery in Comanche.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 am to 11:00 am Monday, prior to the services at Leatherwood Memorial Chapels.

She was born December 19, 1953 in Comanche, Texas to Raymond Earl Burks and Abby Elizabeth (Bauchman) Burks. She married Frank Silas Clark. She owned and operated the Double Diamond and Twin Oaks Bars in Melvin.

Daughter – Priscilla Barganier of New Braunfels
Brother – Jimmy Burks and wife Debra of Amarillo
Sisters – Kathy Cook of Brownwood, Mary Tally of Melvin and Nelda Breazeale of Lubbock.

She was preceded in death by: her parents, infant son William Herring, brother Ray Earl Burks and sister Pam Simons.
