Martha Cole, of Bangs, was called to her Heavenly home on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at the age of 78. She was truly a kind, giving and Godly wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother “Nonnie” and friend to all that knew her. Martha was born in Olney, TX on May 10, 1942 and moved to Bangs in 1959 where she met and married her husband of 59 years.
Martha was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Otis and Cressie Brown; Brothers, Travis and Brit Brown; Brother-in-laws, Lloyd Cole and Wayne Fisher; Sister-in-laws, Lily Brown and Pat Brown; Father and mother-in-law, Bert and Lillian Cole.
Those left to cherish and share her memories are the love of her life and husband, David Cole; Her loving son and his wife, Eric and Lisa Cole; Grandchildren, Ivy and Gunnar Cole; Brothers, James and Otis Brown; Sisters, Janie Lowe and Geneva Ethridge; Many other cherished family members including Joyce Fisher and family, Wayne and Eva Gunter and family, Kathy Cole and family with numerous nieces and nephews.
Martha was an exceptional and well-respected banker of 42 years in California, Brownwood, Early and Bangs. She was known to greet everyone with a big smile and even bigger heart with the willingness to help and guide anyone. The family will receive family and friends for visitation at Davis-Morris Funeral Home on Saturday, April 10th from 5-7 pm. Service to be held Sunday, April 11th at 2 pm at First Baptist Church Bangs followed by a graveside service at Bangs Cemetery.
