Evans J. Adkins, III, 71, of Smithville, Texas passed away Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at his residence in Smithville.

He was born November 28, 1949 in Dallas to Evans J. Adkins, Jr. and Frankye (Jolly) Adkins. He was retired from the U.S. Navy having served 27 years in Vietnam and Iraq.

Funeral service will be Saturday, April 10, at 2:00 pm at Leatherwood Memorial Chapels in Brady. Reverend Regina Maas will officiate. Interment, with military honors, will follow at Live Oak Cemetery in Brady.

Survivors:
Daughter: Justin Ann Adkins-Taylor and husband Robert of Smithville.
4 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
