The following calls were answered by the Brown County Sheriff’s Office between March 27 and March 30.
On Saturday, March 27, at about 11:13 hours, Deputy Simpson responded to the Mukewater Cemetery on County Road 175. This was in regards to fences being damaged and a license plate being found on scene. The victim had two fences damaged including the fence against the cemetery. The license plate retrieved from the scene came back to a stolen vehicle from Friday. On Sunday, March 28, at about 17:11 hours, Deputy Thomas responded to County Road 173 in regards to more damaged fences. The victim stated he had seen a grey pickup pull into his drive and leave. The victim later noticed the damages to his property.
On March 27, at approximately 16:30 hours, Deputy Sheedy met with a complainant/victim who came to the Law Enforcement Center to report Online Impersonation. Complainant reports the suspect has posted his personal identification information on social media without his permission. A report was generated and will be forwarded to the Brown County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division for further investigation.
On March 28, Deputy Sheedy spoke with a woman in regards to harassment. The complainant has been receiving unwanted text messages and other messages through Facebook messenger from a distant relative. Complainant has informed the suspect to stop all contact, however, it continues. A report was generated after speaking with the complainant.
On March 28, Deputy Fabbiani was notified of a water well pulling unit which had possibly been abandoned on FM 1176. The information was the named person had possibly stolen the pulling unit off of CR 160, before blowing out the tires on FM 1176 and stealing another vehicle from the area. The pulling unit was tracked to the address it came from, which it was determined a gooseneck travel trailer had also been broken into and a shotgun had been stolen. A report has been made.
On March 29, Deputy Thomas was dispatched to Belfast Drive at Lake Brownwood for a domestic disturbance. The complainant advised that a man broke a window at her residence and assaulted her. A report was made.
On March 27, Brown County units were advised of a pursuit coming into the County by Santa Anna Police. Units were later informed the suspect fled on foot and a perimeter was set up. It was later discovered the suspect stole a vehicle inside the perimeter and fled the area. A report was completed for Unauthorized Use of Motor Vehicle and Criminal Mischief.
On March 30, Deputy Fabbiani responded to the Brown County Jail in regards to an assault between an inmate and two jailers. A man had been arrested earlier in the day and, during intake, assaulted a jailer. Early on the morning of March 30, the man spit on two jailers while being uncooperative. While investigating the assault, Deputy Fabbiani was given a plastic tube out of the man’s property that contained a crystallized substance, which tested positive for methamphetamine. The man was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance PG1 and two assaults.
