Wanda Heiser “Granny”, 81, of Coleman

Wanda Heiser “Granny”, age 81, of Coleman, died Monday, March 29, 2021 at the Coleman County Medical Center.

A celebration of her life will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 10, 2021 at Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home Chapel, 1503 Andrews Highway, in Crane with Joseph Buse officiating.  Inurnment will follow in the Crane County Cemetery.  Services are entrusted to Stevens Funeral Home, 400 W. Pecan Street, in Coleman.

She was born Wanda Lee Weddle on August 14, 1939 in Crane to Harvey Kile Weddle and Hazel McDougal Weddle.  Wanda grew up in Crane where she attended school.  She married Bud Heiser in 1975 in Crane.  Wanda was a member of the American Legion, 4-H Leader in Crane, Rebekah’s Lodge, and was the recipient of the Leader of the Year in Crane County in 1994.  Wanda and Bud relocated to Coleman in 1995.  Wanda enjoyed life to the fullest.  She enjoyed crocheting, needlework, and loved to play poker.  Wanda even taught her grandchildren and great-grandchildren how to play.  She loved her family with all her heart and leaves behind an amazing legacy for them.

Wanda is preceded in death by her parents, Harvey and Hazel Weddle; her husband, Bud Heiser; her sons, Tony Heiser and David Heiser; daughter-in-law, Lynn Heiser; and three sisters.

She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Shelly Heiser of Coleman; her grandchildren, Michael Heiser and wife Melanie, Jonathan Campbell and wife Jeanie, Stephenia Heiser and significant other Jerry Glover, Justin Heiser, Adam Heiser and wife Melissa, Nicholas Heiser, Scott Heiser and husband Scott Chambers; multiple great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; special nieces and nephews; special children adopted by love, Joseph and Mary Buse; and her precious dog, Princess.

The family would like to thank Dr. Atwood, nurses, and staff at the Coleman County Medical Center for all the care that was provided to Wanda.
