KOXE Meteorologist Randy Turner is monitoring the potential for strong to severe thunderstorms in the Central Texas area late Tuesday night into early Wednesday morning.

“While we could see some showers Tuesday afternoon, the time period of most concern for thunderstorms and severe weather is overnight tonight, mainly between midnight and 4:00 am.  Storms are forecast to develop in the general area between Abilene and San Angelo and move eastward through Coleman, Brown, Callahan, McCulloch, Mills, San Saba, Comanche and Eastland counties through the early morning hours,” Turner said.  The Storm Prediction Center has placed  the KOXE listening area in a Slight Risk area for severe storms with primary threats being damaging wind and hail.
