Following recent arrests involving suspected methamphetamine distribution in the community, the Brownwood Police Department Narcotics Division obtained a search and arrest warrant for Eden Shauntel Culpepper, 34, of Brownwood.
According to Brownwood Police, on Monday, March 15, 2021, Culpepper (shown left) was observed driving a vehicle in the area of US Hwy 377 S and 15th St. A traffic stop was initiated and Culpepper was arrested for the warrant. At the time of the arrest, Culpepper possessed approximately 26 grams of Methamphetamine along with over $4,400.00 in US Currency.
While speaking with Culpepper, other detectives were securing her residence in the 1900 block of Ave D. Inside the residence, detectives seized over 6 grams of suspected methamphetamine along with numerous items of drug paraphernalia. According to Brown County Jail online records, Culpepper has two bonds totaling $170,000.
Also arrested at the residence was Mallorie Basio, 31, of Brownwood (shown above) who police say had concealed inside her purse less than a gram of methamphetamine. According to Brown County Online Jail Records, her bond was set at $65,000 on a charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance in a Drug Free Zone.
Those charged are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
