Miami Heat center Meyers Leonard could face NBA repercussions after video surfaced of him using the anti-Semitic slur “k–e” during a “Call of Duty” live stream on Twitch.
Leonard is seen in an inset Twitch video stream of the popular video game saying “F–ing coward. Don’t f–king snipe me, you f–king k–e b—h,” as another person on the stream can be heard laughing. Another video shows Leonard pausing to take a call. He becomes far more serious and says he needs to stop playing the game because his wife needs him.
The Heat are reviewing the video, a team spokesman told the New York Times. In a statement to The Athletic, NBA spokesman Mike Bass said, “We just became aware of the video and are in the process of gathering more information. The NBA unequivocally condemns all forms of hate speech.”
