Units of the Brownwood Fire Department were sent to the Canidae pet food facility in south Brownwood shortly after noon Monday.  While KOXE was on scene, heavy smoke was coming from vents on top of a warehouse type building as well as from the south end of the building.  Flames had been visible earlier.  Firemen were seen making entry into the large building.  Brownwood Police and Brown County Sheriff’s Department were providing traffic control and Lifeguard EMS was on scene in case they were needed.  Additional information will be reported as received.
