Armando Sedillo Mata, Sr., age 72 of Brady, Texas passed away Sunday, February 14, 2021 at his residence in Brady, Texas.  Armando was born July 30, 1948 in Lamesa, Texas to Antonio and Elvira (Sedillo) Mata.  He was lifelong landscaper, selling trees all over Texas.  He enjoyed any activity that involved his friends and family.  He enjoyed playing dominoes, spending time with his family and going to the casino.  He was a lifelong resident of Brady and  member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Brady.

Mass of Christian Burial for Armando Sedillo Mata, Sr. will be held at 10:00am Monday, February 22, 2021 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Brady with Father Terry Brenon officiating.  Interment will follow at the Santa Anna Cemetery in Santa Anna.

Armando Sedillo Mata, Sr. will lie in state Sunday from 1:00pm to 6:00pm at Leatherwood Memorial Chapels.  Friends may view Armando’s Memorial Video Tribute and/or sign the online memorial guest book at www.leatherwoodmemorialchapels.com.  Everyone is requested to wear face masks coverings during all services.

Armando is survived by loving wife Janie Mata of Brady, Texas; sons Armando “Chacho” Mata, Jr. and wife Jeannie of Grapevine, Texas, Moses Mata of Brady, Texas; daughters May Brooks and husband Christopher of Temple, Texas, Paula Chevalier and husband Kenneth of Killen, Texas; brother Gilbert Mata of Brady, Texas, Mario Mata and wife Jesse of Brady, Texas and Tony Mata and wife Brenda of Brady, Texas; sisters Janie Quintero and husband Danny of Brady, Texas and Armanda Quinterro and husband Frank of Brady, Texas; seven grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.  Armando was preceded in death by his parents and son Paul Lee Mata.
