The City of Brownwood warming shelter is open at the Adams Street Community Center at 511 E. Adams Street. The facility will be open again today (Tues) until 8:00 p.m. The purpose of opening Adams Street facility is to have a warm place for people to go if electricity is out in their homes for a prolonged period. We encourage residents to stay home until the electricity has been out for an hour or more, as it may be a rolling power outage.

If you are unable to stay warm, and need assistance with shelter please call:
▪Fire Chief Eric Hicks at 325.800.9794 or Assistant Chief Jody Horton at 325.430.9410 if you live inside the Brownwood city limits.
