Buford A. Narramore, 75, of May, passed away on February 4, 2021.
A Celebration of Life service will be at 2:00 PM, Saturday, March 13, 2021 at the American Legion Post 470, 14601 CR 422, May, TX 76857.
B.A. was born July 19, 1945 in Carlsbad, New Mexico to Bonnie and Venice Virgie Narramore. He graduated high school in Sudan and attended South Plains College before finishing postal courses at Mountain View Community College. B.A. served his country in the US Army and was a member of the American Legion and DAV. He worked in several different career fields before starting in the US Postal Service as a mail handler at the bulk mail center in Dallas, TX. He retired as a Post Master from Zephyr, TX in 2007. He married Sharon Walser Roberts on June 1, 1989 in Lubbock, TX and they began a life together that blessed them with 31 years together. B.A.’s two favorite things to watch were his Dallas Cowboys and his grandchildren play in their respective sports. One of his favorite things to do was fishing. His dad taught him at an early age, and he loved passing the fishing secrets to his children and grandchildren. B.A. was a devoted and loving husband and father. His grandchildren were the apple of his eye and he enjoyed being a part of their lives. B.A. was a very social person who loved being with his friends and family. If you knew B.A. then you knew that he thrived on giving people a “hard time” in a loving way and he would do almost anything to help others in need. After retirement, his main goal was to spend as much time as possible fishing for that “Big Bass.” He would always say, “A bad day of fishing is better than a good day at work.”
B.A. is survived by his beloved wife, Sharon Narramore of May; daughters, Cindy Guffey and husband Kevin of Hutchinson, Kansas, Staci Crawford and husband Jake of Fort Worth, Stephanie Miller and husband Jeremy of Earth, Texas; son, Britton Roberts and wife Keri of Goldthwaite; 8 grandchildren, Kaylee, Avery, Landri, Joel Guffey, Kody, Britni, Brooke Roberts and Danielle Mitchell; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
B.A. was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Virgie Corina Hester.
