With temperatures forecast to plummet to near zero, we thought it would be interesting to see how often it has been this cold in our area.  We reached out to Hector Guerrero at the San Angelo National Weather Service for the answer.  He tells us that weather records in Brownwood go back to the 1890’s.  Some records are missing but the top 11 coldest years are available.
