Brown Co. Commissioners Schedule Monday Meeting

Brown County Commissioners will meet Monday, February 8, at 9:00 am in the County Courthouse in Commissioners Courtroom on the first floor.  The business agenda is listed below.

I . Declare a Quorum and Call Meeting to Order

3. Citizen Comments (All speakers will be required to adhere to the rules of procedure, conduct and decorum adopted by the Court on August 12, 2019. Any disruptive, abusive, obscene, or disrespectful behavior will be terminated immediately.)

4. Consideration and approval of the minutes from the February I st, 2021
5. Consideration and approval of any Treasurer’s/Auditor’s Report.
6. Consideration and approval of payment of any bills needed.

7. Consideration and approval of all appropriate action regarding the following:

A. Joel Kelton, Commissioner Pct. 2 – Consideration and possible approval of action regarding burn ban;
B. Lisa Dick, Administrator- Brownwood-Brown County Health Department- Update on COVID 19 response and County health initiatives. (Spon Pct. 2)
C. Joel Kelton, Commissioner Pct. 2-Discussion and possible action of speed limits on County Roads.
D. Courtney Parrott, Heathy County Coordinator- Presenting employer rewards from My Healthy County Program. (Spon CJ)
E. Jeff Webb, Task Force Coordinator for Texas A&M Forest Service- Consideration and possible approval of action regarding burn permit to burn on Camp Bowie. (Spon CJ)
F. Bob Contreras, Grants and Government Affairs Coordinator- Discussion and update on COVID 19 grants. (Spon CJ)
G. Gary Worley, Commissioner Pct. 1- Public Hearing regarding the adoption of Guidelines and Criteria for the purposes of Tax Abatement as required by Chapter 312 of the Texas Property Tax Code.
Gary Worley, Commissioner Pct. 1- Consideration and possible action, after due notice and publication as required by law, the renewal, amendment and adoption of Criteria and Guidelines for the purposes of Tax Abatement in Brown County, Texas, as required by Chapter 312 of the Texas Property Tax Code.
