In games broadcast on KOXE and KBWD on Friday night, the Brownwood Lady Lions keep a playoff hope alive while the Lions will see post season play again.
LADY LIONS
On Senior Night at Warren Gym, the Lady Lions came through with their most spirited effort of the season, sparked by an 18-1 run in the second half to stun the Gatesville Lady Hornets, 50-36, and regain control of fourth place in the league standings. With one game left in the regular season, the Lady Lions (9-13, 2-5) now lead Lampasas (18-8, 1-6) by one game for the fourth and final postseason berth from District 6-4A. Brownwood wraps up its season at No. 5 Stephenville next Friday, while Lampasas concludes its regular season Tuesday against No. 6 Glen Rose.

LIONS
Trailing by six points at halftime, the Brownwood Lions stormed back to clinch a playoff berth with a 67-50 victory over the Gatesville Hornets Friday – the 100th win in five seasons at Brownwood for head coach Nadir Dalleh. The Lions (12-8, 3-2) remained in a tie for second place in the District 6-4A standings along with Lampasas (17-3, 3-2) – a 40-34 winner over Stephenville (14-7, 2-3) Friday – with three league games left on the schedule. Brownwood is off until Friday when it hosts Stephenville, a rematch of the Lions’ 56-43 loss in the district opener on Jan. 19.
