Friday COVID Report – One death, decline in active cases

On Friday, January 29, 2021, the Brownwood/Brown County Health Department received 17 positive COVID-19 test results, 51 negative, and 52 recoveries. Of the 17 positives, 8 were PCR, and 9 were antigen. There are currently 15 hospitalized in Brown County and 387 active cases. One death was reported: a female in her 80’s, not a resident of a nursing facility. 

COVID-19 Vaccinations:
Brown County currently shows 1,143 people vaccinated with 1st doses, 506 people vaccinated with both doses.  31,586 is the estimated for vaccination.

Weekly Case Count Update:
Brown County ended the week (1/29/2021) with an addition of 184 new cases from the previous week.  (see graph below)

Upcoming Free Mobile COVID-19 Test Dates: 
Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM) COVID-19 mobile testing team will continue Monday, February 1st, Tuesday, February 2nd, Thursday, February 4th, and Friday, February 5th in Brownwood from 10 am to 4 pm at Gordon Wood Stadium located at 3206 Milam Drive.
