Brett McKibben, Chief Appraiser of the Brown County Appraisal District, released the following statement Monday morning regarding their office being closed this week.
DUE TO A POSITIVE COVID-19 TEST AMONG THE STAFF, THE BROWN COUNTY APPRAISAL DISTRICT WILL BE CLOSED THIS WEEK, JANUARY 11TH THROUGH 15TH.
IF YOU NEED TO CONDUCT BUSINESS, PERSONNEL WILL BE ABLE TO ASSIST YOU BY CALLING THE APPRAISAL OFFICE AT 325-643-5676 OR BY EMAILING APPRAISAL@BROWN-CAD.ORG DURING NORMAL BUSINESS HOURS.
AS A REMINDER, MANY QUESTIONS CAN BE ANSWERED BY VISITING THEIR WEBSITE AT WWW.BROWN-CAD.ORG.
THEY STRONGLY ENCOURAGE THAT PAYMENTS BE MADE BY MAIL OR VIA THE WEBSITE. IF YOU FEEL YOU MUST MAKE YOUR PAYMENT AT THE OFFICE, A DROP BOX IS AVAILABLE. PAYMENTS WILL BE PROCESSED DURING THIS CLOSURE.
AS A REMINDER, IN ORDER TO AVOID LATE PENALTIES AND INTEREST, STATE LAW MANDATES THAT PAYMENTS BE RECEIVED OR POSTMARKED NO LATER THAN FEBRUARY 1ST.
