Marty Heitkotter, 56, of Abilene, died Friday, December 18, 2020 at Hendrick Medical Center.
Memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 27, 2020 at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Bob Martin, minister of Elm Street Church of Christ officiating. Services are under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.
He was born Martin Christopher Heitkotter on January 16, 1964 in Illinois, an adopted son of Jerry Heitkotter and Lucy Wiesbrook Heitkotter. Marty grew up in Granger and Des Moines, Iowa where he attended school. On October 25, 1997, Marty married Suzan Willetts in Plano. Marty worked for Renew Energy in Plano and moved to Abilene two years ago. He enjoyed race cars and remote controlled boats.
Marty is survived by his wife, Suzan Heitkotter of Abilene; three children, Courtney Rasmussen of Abilene, Spencer Marks and wife, Lisa, of Gunter, Sam Marks and wife, Jamie, of McKinney; and a sister, Kristen Heitkotter of Los Angeles, California. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, Chandler Rasmussen, Presley Rasmussen, Abby Marks, Wilson Marks, Emma Marks, Hayden Marks, Harlyn Marks, Henley Marks; and mother-in-law, Peggy Willetts.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Mark Heitkotter and father-in-law, Richard Willetts.
