May Head Coach Craig Steele says the Blum Bobcat football team the May Tigers will play Saturday night is not the same team they beat 74-28 in September. Blum is now much better, Steele said.
The Class A Division I No. 3 May Tigers and 12th-ranked Blum Bobcats will collide at 6 p.m. Saturday in Dublin for a berth in the state championship game. The game will be broadcast on KOXE 101.3 FM, KOXE.com and the KOXE App. Carl Wayne and Michael Richardson will bring you the game starting at 5:45 pm Saturday night from Dublin.
In playoff action, Blum has upended Coolidge (58-28), Saint Jo (56-28) and previously-undefeated Union Hill (62-50).
Saturday’s winner will face either No. 1 Sterling City (13-0) or No. 2 Borden County (11-2) in the Class A Division II state championship game at AT&T Stadium in Arlington at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 16.
