Teresa Ann Moring passed away November 29, 2020. Teresa was born January 30, 1952 in Lubbock, Texas. She graduated valedictorian from Fort Stockton High School in 1970. Teresa attended McMurry University in Abilene, Texas, and graduated summa cum laude in 1972. In the fall of 1973, Teresa traveled to Great Britain and attended Bangor University in North Wales on a Rotary International Foundation Scholarship. With an undergraduate degree in theatre and drama and a master’s degree in fine arts, Teresa embarked on a successful twenty-five year acting career in both New York City and London. Teresa always loved children, and in the late 1990s she changed careers and began studying child behavioral psychology in London. She secured a therapist certification and worked several years in British social services. Teresa returned to Texas and worked another ten years in state social services on behalf of children with behavioral disorders. Teresa quietly and contentedly spent her last remaining years in Sinton, Texas while continuing to enrich her many academic pursuits and communicating abundantly with friends and family throughout the world. Teresa’s many great nieces and nephews will always remember the cards, notes and gifts that flowed to their homes from their mysterious and interesting great aunt. Teresa took great pride in being the keeper of family lore, heritage and curiosities.

Teresa is predeceased by her parents, Joseph Herndon Moring and Barbara Brewer Moring and brother, Edward Alan Moring. Teresa is survived by her brother, John Joseph Moring (Catherine) of Columbia, South Carolina and sister, Molly Moring Argo (Terry) of Lantana, Texas. Teresa is survived by three nieces, one nephew and their spouses, four great nieces and five great nephews. Teresa is also survived by her former spouse, Osman Phillips of Canada.

The family would like to extend special appreciation to Dana Dunlap for her devoted care. Heartland Funeral Home is assisting the family with a private burial at Eastlawn Memorial Park, Early, Texas.
