The 5-4A Division I All-District Football Team was announced Monday. The Brownwood Lions recognized were as follows:
Sophomore receiver Jason Jackson was named offensive newcomer of the year.
First-team choices included senior outside receiver Malachi Revada, senior inside receiver Dane Johnson, senior defensive tackle Kris Hobbs, and senior punter Blaize Espinoza.
Second-team offense honorees were senior running back Royshad Henderson, junior center Ethan Pesina, junior inside receiver Elias Huerta and sophomore running back Konlyn Anderson, who earned the utility player honor.
Second-team defense for the Lions were sophomore inside linebacker Dryden Anderson, and senior safety Khyren Deal, while second-team special teams standouts were freshman kicker Junior Martinez and senior utility player Roman McKibben.
Receiving honorable mention from Brownwood were senior linebackers Trevor Evans and Reece Bolton, sophomore safety Taylor Bessent, and senior offensive linemen Jimi Brown and Brad Robinson.
The rest of the district superlative awards included MVP Daelin Rader of Midlothian Heritage, Offensive MVP Jordan Rogers of Waco La Vega, Offensive Line MVP Carson Walker of Heritage, Defensive MVP Noah Gray of Heritage, Defensive Newcomer of the Year Kaden Brown of Heritage, and Special Teams MVP Trace Morrison of Stephenville.
