According to the Coleman Fire Department, there is reason to believe a fire Tuesday morning and another fire Tuesday evening are suspicious in nature.  Both are under investigation.
The fire early Tuesday morning was in the 800 block of South Neches where firemen responded to a fully-involved structure fire with an adjacent building on fire. The original building was a total loss but the second building was able to be extinguished.
The structure fire Tuesday evening was in the 1600 block of Clow Street. Units arrived to find heavy fire coming from the rear of the house and it was unclear if anyone was home. The fire was extinguished and primary search conducted. No one was inside but several dogs unfortunately died in the fire.
On both scenes Coleman Fire Department was assisted by Santa Anna Fire Department, Coleman Police Department and Metrocare EMS. Both fires are under investigation and suspicious in nature.   The fire department is asking anyone with information to please contact the Law Enforcement Center at 325-625-3506.
