Darwin Schrader of San Antonio, formerly of Santa Anna, passed away peacefully from this life on Sunday, November 15, 2020 at his home at the age of 89 years.

Darwin’s wishes were to be cremated and a memorial service with family and friends at a later date.

He was born Darwin Brown Schrader November 11, 1931 in Santa Anna, Texas to Ed Albert and Jewel Grace Brown Schrader. Darwin was raised in Santa Anna graduating from Santa Anna High School in 1948 and attended Tarleton & Texas Tech. He has been a residence of San Antonio since 2012. On April 22, 1969 he married the love of his life, Patricia Ruth Thomas, in Sanderson, Texas. They have celebrated 51 years of marriage.

After 32 years Darwin was retired from the US Department of Agriculture in the soil conservation division.

He was a member of the Gideons, a Deacon and a member of the Baptist Church.
