The following calls were responded to by the Brown County Sheriff’s Department.
On Monday, October 19, Deputy Jimmy Cornelius met with a man who found parts of a handgun lying in the roadway at the intersection of US 377 and FM 45. A found property report was made.
On October 19 Deputy Mike Sheedy responded to County Road 234 in reference to theft of livestock. He spoke to the complainant and his daughter who reported several head of cattle were missing from the property. The complainant believed a relative may have taken the cattle without permission and may be responsible for the theft. A report was generated and forwarded to the Criminal Investigation Division for further investigation.
On Monday, October 19, at about 17:00 hours, Deputy Simpson responded to County Road 467 in regards to a theft. He met with a man who advised he had items stolen from his storage. A report was made.
On October 19, Deputy Toby Mathis conducted a traffic stop in the 3800 block of Highway 279. The driver was detained after a methamphetamine glass pipe was located on his person. He was placed in custody for possession of a controlled substance PG1 and unlawful carry of weapon.
On October 19, Deputy Jose Rodriguez was dispatched to FM 3100 in regards to theft. A report was made.
Deputy Mike Sheedy and Deputy Andre Smoot responded to the area of County Road 321 and County Road 327 at approximately 2:22 pm on October 20. This was to investigate a report of theft/criminal mischief. Information regarding the offense was received and a report was generated and forwarded to the Brown County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division.
On October 20, at approximately 15:18, Deputy Jose Rodriguez was dispatched to Temple Avenue in Brownwood. This was in regards to a theft of a bicycle. A report was made.
On October 20, at approximately 16:29 hours, Deputy Nicolas A. Wood attempted to locate a man to serve him a Trespass Warning from his father’s property, but was unable to locate him.
On Tuesday, October 20, at about 20:28 hours, Deputy Simpson responded to Brin Street. This was in regards to a burglary of a habitation. Upon making contact with the complainant, Deputy Simpson was advised his residence was burglarized for the second time in a week and he had four more items taken. A report was made.
On October 20, Deputy Toby Mathis responded to Brin Street for a report of a fight in progress with a possible knife involved. Deputies arrived and learned no physical assault occurred. Information was gathered and two reports were made.
