BROWNWOOD, Texas (Oct. 19, 2020) – Chick-fil-A Brownwood, located on East Commerce Street next to Lednicky Park, is slated to open for business on Thursday, Nov. 5.
Chick-fil-A, Inc. has selected Bridget Jones as the franchise owner of the newest Chick-fil-A restaurant in Central Texas. A native of Brownwood, Jones will oversee day-to-day activities of the business, employing approximately 110 full- and part-time Team Members, cultivating relationships with local organizations and neighboring businesses and serving Guests. Chick-fil-A Brownwood is located at 500 E. Commerce St. and will be open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday through Saturday.
As states begin to ease restrictions on the closure of local businesses, Chick-fil-A restaurants are taking additional time to review operations and ensure there are the necessary precautions in place to protect our Guests and Team Members before reopening dining rooms. In the meantime, Chick-fil-A Brownwood will open for drive-thru service, mobile curbside and drive-thru pickup, and third-party delivery through DoorDash. Guests can take advantage of the multi-lane drive-thru, contactless ordering and payment through the Chick-fil-A App®.
In place of the traditional Chick-fil-A First 100 Grand Opening celebration, Chick-fil-A Brownwood will be providing free Chick-fil-A meals for a year to 100 local heroes making an impact in the Brownwood community.
Chick-fil-A Brownwood is locally-owned and operated by Bridget Jones, a Brownwood native whose family has lived in the area for generations. Before opening her own Chick-fil-A restaurant, she served as Restaurant Director at two restaurants outside of Austin. Prior to starting her career with Chick-fil-A, Jones taught elementary and middle school in the Austin area, where she was named a Rising Star Teacher of the Year, and also owned and operated a Just Between Friends franchise location, for which she was awarded Franchise of the Year. Jones graduated locally from Brownwood High School and earned her college degree from Howard Payne University. She and her husband, Jonathan, who she met locally at Coggin Avenue Baptist Church, returned home to Brownwood earlier this year, along with their two children.
“Serving the Brownwood community means so much to my family, and we are excited to give back to the community that made us who we are. The local saying goes, ‘Brownwood Feels Like Home,’ but for us, Brownwood really is home,” said Jones. “We look forward to becoming a community hub and a premier employer in Brownwood, where people can enjoy good food in a welcoming environment.”
