Scott Blackburn, age 74, of Brownwood passed away at home surrounded by his loved ones Monday, October 5, 2020.

Graveside Services for Scott will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 8, 2020, at Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Abilene with Military Honors.

Visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 5 to 7 p.m. at Blaylock Funeral Home. Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home of Brownwood.

Scott was born on June 25, 1946, to Earl and Judy (Franklin) Blackburn in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He was a longtime resident of Brownwood. Scott served in the United States Navy.

Scott is survived by his wife, Terry Blackburn of Brownwood; 2 daughters, Stephanie Blackburn of Brownwood, and Anne Vedrode of Austin; 3 grandchildren, Jarod Vedrode, Sheyanne Cole, and Xander Case; 1 great-grandson, Oliver Soliz; and 3 brothers, Greg Blackburn of Austin, Bill Blackburn and wife Claire of Spain, and Raymond Blackburn of Early. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Judy Blackburn; and his grandparents.
