Three sentenced to prison in 35th district court

The office of District Attorney Micheal Murray issued the following press release Friday regarding felony cases heard in 35th District Court by Judge Stephen Ellis.

* Charles Kyle Nelson pled guilty to the felony offenses of Delivery of a Controlled Substance and Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity and was sentenced to 20 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division. Further, Nelson pled guilty to the felony offense of Prohibited Substances in a Correctional Facility and was sentenced to 10 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

* David Stokes, on probation for the felony offense of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, was adjudicated and sentenced to 6 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

* Darrin Michael Strasdin pled guilty to the felony offense of Bail Jumping and Failure to Appear and was sentenced to 3 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division. Further, Strasdin pled guilty to the state jail felony offenses of Fraudulent Possession of Identifying Information, and Theft-Enchanced and was sentenced to 24 months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.
