Curtis Ray Schaeffer passed from this life on Saturday, September 26, 2020 at 11:30 AM at the VA Hospital in Temple, Texas at the age of 67 years.

Services will be held Friday at 3:00 PM at the Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, Texas.  Military honors by the United States Marines will follow at the cemetery with services under the personal care of Henderson Funeral Home staff of Santa Anna.

Curtis Ray Schaeffer was born December 30, 1952 in Uvalde, Texas to Edward Jean and Lois Ann Chesser Schaeffer.  He was raised in Tomball where he graduated from Tomball High School.  On October 6, 1973 he married Beverly Jean Smith in Tomball, Texas.

Curtis served his country as a Staff Sargent with the United State Marines.  He was a resident of Copperas Cove, Texas and member of the Baptist Church.  Until his retirement he worked as a heavy equipment mechanic at Aircraft Power Plant.

Survivors include his wife, Beverly Seabolt of Copperas Cove, Tx; 2 daughters, Laura & husband Clarence Buff of Copperas Cove, TX, and Kayla & husband Nathan Baker of Killeen, TX; son, Lucas & wife Shannon Schaeffer of Sweetwater, TX; sister, Sophia & husband Troy McNatt; brother, Charles & wife Cindy Schaeffer; grandchildren, Austin, Ashley, Carley, Zachariah, Jeremiah, Chloe, Samantha, Alyssa, New Baby Baker; great-grandchild, Tatum; cousins, Virgil, Elizabeth, Chrissy.

Curtis was preceded in death by parents; sister, Clara Johnson; and brother, Ronny Schaeffer.
