The Brown County Republican Women’s Club and Brown County Retired School Teachers Association were awarded the Texas Military Department, State Family Programs 2019 Community Support Award signed by Major General Tracy Norris, The Adjutant General Texas National Guard, and was presented by TXARNG 111th Engineer Battalion Commander LTC Adrian Perez for the outstanding support they provide to Texas Military Forces.
For a number of years the organizations worked together to provide sack lunches to Soldiers during their Annual Training at Camp Bowie. They also provided support to Soldiers training at the Camp Bowie Training Center. Darlene Harte, Soldier & Readiness Specialist, helped coordinate the events and submitted the application for the organizations to thank them for their continued support of our Texas National Guard.
