On Monday, August 24, 2020, the Brownwood/Brown County Health Department received 17 positive COVID-19 test results, 15 negatives, 7 recoveries, and 1 death. Of the 17 positives, 12 were PCR, and 5 were antigen.

The death was a male in his 80’s and was not a resident in a nursing home.
