The man arrested, Selso Martinez, is the same man who SWAT team members searched for back on July 2nd in a neighborhood in south Brownwood. He is the one who allegedly unlawfully entered a residence in the 2400 block of 13th street and confronted the female homeowner and small children before fleeing through that neighborhood.
Original Story
The Brown County SWAT Team executed a narcotics search warrant in the 1600 block of Ave I in Brownwood, Texas on Monday, August 17, 2020 for case agent Sergeant Gover of the Brown County Sheriff’s Office.
According to a news release from the Brown County Sheriff’s Department, the search warrant lead to the arrest of Jeanna Hopkins, 36, and Selso Martinez, 35. The search warrant lead to the recovery of a large amount of methamphetamine and a firearm. Hopkins and Martinez were both arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance >4 grams<200 grams with Intent to Deliver in a Drug Free Zone.
Jeanna Hopkins
Hopkins was also charged with Hindering Apprehension of a Person with felony warrants.
Selso Martinez
Martinez was also charged with Harassment of a Public Servant, Resisting Arrest, Failure to Comply with Sex Offender Registration Requirements, and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon.
Martinez also had several active felony warrants at the time of arrest.
