A fast moving wildfire broke out Sunday evening near the community of Glen Cove in western Coleman County. It started along Highway 153 and moved toward the north. On Sunday night a strong gust front of north wind rekindled the flames and pushed them south. Units were bringing the fire under control at last report. Rain was also falling in the area at the time.
Also on Sunday night at 11:00 pm Santa Anna Fire Department, and all available fire departments from the area, were fighting two fast moving grass fires. One started just east of Santa Anna off of Highway 84/67. The other was near the Cleveland Cemetery, between Santa Anna and Trickham on FM 1176. Flames are moving toward the south thanks to gusty north wind.
