Coleman ISD Superintendent Brandon McDowell has announced the Reopen Plan for Coleman ISD students as updated Tuesday, August 4, 2020.
The attached PDF is a living document and will be updated on a regular basis as information becomes available. You can download the plan below.
The Coleman Independent School District will hold in-school instruction with safety and COVID-19 prevention measures in place as well as offer families a high-quality, rigorous and engaging online experience.
Additionally, the school district has outlined an instructional model that provides for a continuation of instruction in the event a classroom or a school must temporarily move to a School-to-Home instruction model due to COVID-19.
Although there are no strategies to completely eliminate transmission risk in schools, Coleman ISD is committed to keep transmission as low as possible in order to safely continue school.
Information for games and other extracurricular events:
- Spectator attendance at games and contests will be limited to 50% capacity based on TEA and UIL guidelines.
- Spectators attending UIL activities are required to wear face mask/covering based on TEA and UIL guidelines.
As the TEA, UIL and CDC make further changes in their guidelines and if COVID-19 numbers in the county grow, the CISD Plan will change.
