On Monday, August 3, 2020, the Brownwood/Brown County Health Department received 22 positive COVID-19 test results, 12  negatives, 30  recoveries, and 2 deaths.

There are currently 102 active cases, of which 5 are hospitalized. The new positives include 5 PCR tests and 17 antigen tests. The deaths include two females in their 90s who were residents in a nursing home. The total positive PCR tests for Brown County is 356.  The total positive antigen/antibody test is now 53.
