Byrlene was born in the Brownwood Hospital on August 17, 1943, to Beryl and Oleta (Brinson) Drury. She graduated from Bangs High School and lived in Brown County her entire life. She married her soulmate, Johnny Lee Curry Sr., on August 20, 1960; the two just celebrated 59 years of marriage. They had three children: Johnny Jr., Terrie, and Pamela, all of whom reside in Bangs, Texas. She loved her family, friends, and pets dearly. She loved to plan parties, including a giant yearly Easter egg hunt where everyone was welcome. She was a loving wife, mother, and Nana, who will be missed.
Byrlene was preceded in death by her parents, Beryl and Oleta Drury of Bangs; grandparents, Charles and Ruby (Tervooren) Drury, and Robert and Gertrude Brinson.
She is survived by her husband, Johnny Sr.; her children, Johnny Lee Curry Jr. and his wife Lou Ann, Terrie Hailey, Pamela Pannell and her husband Wayne; her 4 grandkids, Ginny and Jacey Pannell, Katherine and Abby Hailey, and their father, Kevin Hailey and wife Kim; and one brother, Larry Drury and his wife Celia. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and other relatives.
Her quick wit, infectious laugh, and smile will be missed greatly by all.
