The Texas Juvenile Justice Department provided the following updates Wednesday related to COVID-19, including more new cases at the Ron Jackson Unit in Brownwood.
• 1 Youth Development Coach and 1 staff member at the Ron Jackson State Juvenile Correctional Complex, in Brownwood, tested positive for COVID-19 last night.
• 1 staff member at the McLennan County State Juvenile Correctional Facility, in Mart, tested positive for COVID-19 this afternoon.
• Campus-wide testing at the McLennan County State Juvenile Correctional Facility, in Mart, will begin tomorrow and is expected to last two days.
Since the start of the pandemic, 124 staff members at the agency’s secure facilities have tested positive for COVID-19:

McLennan County State Juvenile Correctional Facility: 9
Ron Jackson State Juvenile Correctional Complex: 22
