The Texas A&M Forest Service is responding to a request for assistance as of 8:35 pm on a fire named the Buffalo Creek Fire, estimated at 200 acres and 0% contained, according to the Texas A&M Forest Service. Motor graders were in route to help fight the flames as of 8:45 pm.
A fire was also being reported on County Road 192 south of Bangs.
The Goldthwaite Fire Department reported this evening they were battling a large grass fire on FM 45. Several other area fire departments have responded to assist. Initial reports we’ve received are that the fire is near the Brown/Mills county line. Numerous fire fighting resources have and are responding as of 8:30 pm.
