The Texas Juvenile Justice Department reports that the first case of COVID-19 has been confirmed at the Ron Jackson State Juvenile Correctional Complex in Brownwood.

According to TJJD, a Mental Health Specialist at Ron Jackson tested positive for COVID-19 on Friday night, marking the first case of the virus at Ron Jackson.

Since the start of the pandemic, 23 staff members at the agency’s facilities have tested positive for Covid-19.
