On Tuesday, July 30, 2019 the Brownwood ISD Board of Trustees met and approved a reformed compensation package for employees that includes raises, retention incentives, and more. Compensation highlights include the following:
- Returning teachers will see an increase based on years of experience. The total compensation, including incentive opportunities, ranges from 6% – 19%.
- Returning librarians and registered nurses will see an increase based on years of experience. The total compensation, including incentive opportunities, ranges from 4% – 16%.
- All returning counselors, administrators, salaried non-exempt employees, and hourly employees will see a 3% salary increase. These employees also have the opportunity of receiving a 2% retention incentive with a minimum of $500.
- TRS ActiveCare 1HD employee only premiums continue to be fully paid by the district.
- Free lunches will continue to be provided to school employees.
