Felony Cases Heard Recently in Brown/Mills County District Court

Sentences were recently handed down in Brown/Mills County District Court.  The cases were presented by District Attorney, Micheal Murray.  Judge Stephen Ellis presided.

  • Michael Gene Meador,, pled guilty to the felony offense of Delivery of a Controlled Substance-Drug Free Zone and was sentenced to Ten (10) years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
  • Clayton Douglas Bounds, pled guilty to the felony offense of Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child and was sentenced to Ten (10) years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
  • Joe Cruz Alvarado, pled guilty to the felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver-Drug Free Zone and was sentenced to Ten (10) years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division. Further, Alvarado, on probation for the state jail felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance was revoked and sentenced to Twenty-four (24) months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division
  • Damian Dennis Sterling Cox, on probation for the felony offense .of Evading Arrest was adjudicated and sentenced to Four (4) years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
  • Andrew Delossantos, on probation for the felony offense of Obstruction or Retaliation was revoked and sentenced the Three (3) years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
  • Landon Calhoon, on probation for the felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance-Drug Free Zone was revoked and sentenced to Three (3) years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
  • Alesha Hoskins, on probation for the felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance was revoked and sentenced to Three (3) years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
  • Kimberly Jacobo, on probation for the felony offense of Tampering with or Fabricating Physical Evidence was revoked and sentenced to Three (3) years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division. Further, Jacobo, on probation for the state jail felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance was revoked and sentenced to Twelve (12) months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.
  • Christopher Anderson, on probation for the felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance­Drug Free Zone was revoked and sentenced to Two (2) years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division. Further, Anderson, on probation for the state jail felony offense of Unlawful Carrying Weapons Free Zone was revoked and sentenced to Twelve (12) months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.
  • Erica Chapa, pied guilty to the state jail felony offense of Theft over $2500 under $30,000 and was sentenced to Twelve (12) months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.
  • Celestine Mason, on probation for the state jail felony offense of Unauthorized Use of Vehicle was adjudicated and sentenced to Twelve (12) months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.
