Numerous calls for service were responded to Friday, Saturday and Sunday by the Brown County Sheriff’s Department. The calls were as follows:
- On Friday, July 26, at approximately 12:47 pm, a Deputy was dispatched to an address in Brownwood in reference to a subject being on the property who had an active trespass warning for the property.
- On July 26, at about 13:07 hours, a Deputy arrived at the Brownwood Law Enforcement Center. This was in regards to a theft. The Deputy spoke with a man with an energy company who said another man had been contracted to do work on an oil and gas lease on County Road 411 in May. The complainant said the man had sent invoices and has been paid, but no work has been done.
- On July 27, at approximately 18:59 hours, a Corporal responded near the intersection of County Road 197 and West U.S. 67. This was for illegal dumping. The incident is still being investigated.
- On July 27, at approximately 15:57 hours, a Corporal spoke to a complainant about a civil matter and theft. The incident was documented in the report.
- On July 28, at approximately 1:59 am, a Deputy and Corporal were dispatched to a burglary in progress at Live Oak Drive in May. After further investigation, it was determined the residence was secure and there were no signs of subjects being on the property. The complainant was later patted down and possessed a clear glass pipe with residue which field tested positive for methamphetamine. The man was ultimately arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance, PG1<1 gram, SJF.
- On July 28, 2019, at approximately 17:16 hours, a Corporal responded to County Road 136 for a dog bite. The incident was documented in the report.
- On July 28, at approximately 18:32 hours, a Corporal responded to Blackwell Crossing for an illegal dumping report. The incident is still being investigated.
